A Great Day

On Saturday I had a lovely day with a group of ladies. Here are some of the things I demonstrated and we all made the mini step card. The treat bag and step card are from Jenny Moors blog. The instructions are there too. Isn't the Good Egg stamp set just so cute? :)
The wee pocket with a mini card is made using the circle scissors. I cut a six inch circle and scored 1 3/4" across the bottom of the circle and 1 1/4" each side. The Tea Party DSP and the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set compliment each other so well. This week I will be travelling to Christchurch to look after my mum who had a fall about a month ago. I have been travelling to Christchurch every weekend and after this week my mum will be coming to visit me at Easter. I am really looking forward to this. Have a great week.

Ella's Birthday Card

Well, on the 23rd was Sarah's bunny, Ella's birthday. Life is so busy at the moment and we needed a quick card for her (the pets always get cards and presents on their birthday's and Christmas!) I had seen this stunning card over at Jenny Moors blog and thought it was perfect. It seriously only took 10 mins to make. We made a few changes but were very happy with the result.
Lovin' the Tea Party designer paper! :)

Thought I'd share a photo of Ella!

Just Add Ink Challenge #5

This is my entry for the Just Add Ink Challenge this week. It is a decorated canvas. I covered the canvas with the Tea Party designer paper and embellished with butterfly's punched in DSP with the gorgeous butterfly punch. I added buttons onto the butterfly's. Some were from the Sherbet designer buttons and the others, I made following this fab tutorial found HERE by Danielle Daws.
This project would look really nice on the wall in a little girls room, or even in your craft space!
Aren't the Tea Party designer papers just so yummy?! :) Love all those Spring colours together.
This project was partly inspired by Jenny Moors

Supplies Used:
Card/Paper:
Tea party designer paper, Almost Amethyst, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Sherbet designer buttons, Clear Rinestone brad, Butterfly punch, 1/2" Circle punch, Mat Pack, Crystal Effects, Sanding Blocks, 6" x 6" canvas

Bright & Funky!

Wow! Isn't this card just so much fun?! :) Sarah made this card, it was partly inspired by a card in the volume 15 no. 8 Cardmaking Stamping and Papercraft magazine. The tutorial on how to make these gorgeous paper flowers is found here, by Megan McDonald.
Sarah used the technique called Faux Stitching. You basically just pierce holes through your card using the mat pack, and then make little "stitches" using the white gel pen.
This card dosen't break the budget because you don't need any stamps, ink etc.
She used the cool red polka dot ribbon, available for only a limited time in the Summer Mini catalogue.

Supplies Used:
Card/Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Green Galore, Pixie Pink
Accessories: Scallop Circle punch, 1 3/8" Circle punch, Mat Pack, White gel pen, Clear Rinestone brad, 3/4" red Polka Dot grosgrain ribbon

A Lovely Surprise

I received this gorgeous card from my good friend and customer, Charmaine. Isn't it stunning?! I think it looks quite classy with the black. It's really nice for a cardmaker to receive a handmade card.
Thank you so much Charmaine :)

Wedding Thank You's

A few weeks ago, I posted a wedding card for a friend of mine, here. She asked me to make some thank you cards, so I decided to make a simplified version of the wedding card. I really enjoyed making them all, although the embossing on each of them did take a while!
I love the Thank You Kindly set. After making about 40 thank you cards for when Ian's mum passed away, I decided to get it! And I am glad I did, as I have used it time and time again.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Baroque Motifs, Thank You Kindly
Card/Paper: Whisper White
Ink: Silver, Rose Red
Accessories: Silver Embossing Powder,

Well, I am back from Christchurch after being their for almost a week, as my mum had a bad fall. Sarah made this "I miss you" card for me. We've used this template before, here.
Sarah used the "Three Little Words" stamp set, which can be used for many different occasions and is a great value for money at $28.95. She has also used Fifth Avenue Floral, which is one of my favourite sets. I love the colours that she's used, very calming, from the Soft Subtles colour family.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Fifth Avenue Floral, Three Little Words
Card/Paper: Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Tea Party DSP
Ink:
Basic Gray, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Almost Amethyst
Accessories:
Scallop Edge punch, Stamping Sponges, Certainly Celery 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds

Hope you enjoyed the weekend!
