Birthday Blessings!

I celebrated my ? birthday on Friday and had a fantastic day. My fanfabulous (Made up word) husband surprised me with a lovely dinner with family and friends at the Iguacu restaurant in Parnell. It was a very special evening. I thought I would share some of the cards I received. I love receiving cards people have made for me. You know as a cardmaker there is often alot of thought and time that goes into these.
The first card was given to me by my very talented daughter Sarah. She also made the Artistic Etchings card which was commisioned by Ian.

My very good friend Anabel gave me a beautiful necklace which was presented in this box and a matching card.

My son Daniel took the photo. I suspect he did not want to be in it. The one with him in it, the birthday girl had her eyes closed!

So thank you for a most lovely day.

A New Flower!

This is such a gorgeous flower, made using the Fancy Flower punch!

I came across this idea from Mary Fish. Mary has also made a great video tutorial.
I also put together a photo tutorial. Enjoy!

You will need:
The Fancy Flower punch
The Boho Blossoms punch

The 1/2" Circle punch

A strip of scrap cardstock:

Step 1- Stick the scrap piece of cardstock onto the back of the Fancy Flower, using Dotto, as shown:

Step 2- Slide the Fancy Flower into the Fancy Flower punch. Position it so that the points on the punch are in the middle of each petal, as shown. Then punch:

You will now have this new flower:

Step 3- Stick the Boho Blossom and Circle onto the flower, using dimensionals:

And your done! This gorgeous, new flower is now ready for your cards and projects!

Our Tribute

Last week, Ian's mum passed away. Sarah and I wanted to thank people who had supported us and were kind by giving us flowers, cards and baking. So we spent a couple of days in the craft room and made 40 cards. Each card was very special because it had either used a stamp set or colours that she liked.
We thought that we would share a few on the blog. If you have any questions about any of the cards, please leave a comment or send me an email.

Masterboard with Organic Grace

You can create a Masterboard by stamping an A4 piece of card and then cutting it into various shapes. With these I created ten cards. The Organic Grace stampset lends itself well to this technique. The colours I used were Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Mellow Moss and Pink Pirouette. It is a great way to make alot of cards in a short time.
