Card/Paper: Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Very Vanilla
Ink: Melon Mambo, Old Olive
Accessories: Wide Oval punch, Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack, Very Vanilla taffetta ribbon, Little Leaves die, Framed Tulips embossing folder, rhinestones, sponge

Just Add Birthdays!

This week's challenge over at Just Add Ink is to Just Add Birthdays to a papercraft project!
This is a cute pocket card that I made using the Blueberry Crisp designer paper. The very talented, Andrea Walford has made a video on how to make it. View the video HERE.

For the cupcake tag, I inked up the stamp from the Birthday Bakery stamp set (not the words) using the Not Quite Navy marker. I then used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the Best Wishes stamp (from Silhouette Sentiments) and stamped that in Not Quite Navy as well. That then gave me a birthday tag.

And of course, no birthday card can be complete without cupcakes!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Birthday Bakery, Silhouette Sentiments
Card/Paper: Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla, Blueberry Crisp DSP
Ink: Staz-on Black, Not Quite Navy, Pacific Point, Crumb Cake, Early Expresso
Accessories: 1 1/4" Circle punch, Round Tab punch, Very Vanilla 5/8" tafetta ribbon, silver brads, linen thread, Top Note die, Dazzling Diamonds

Card/Paper: Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Ink: Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Bashful Blue, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Black Staz-on

Mojo Monday #131

This is my daughter, Sarah's entry for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge this week. I really wanted to make a card following the sketch, but unfortunately I didn't get the time.
Sarah stamped the script image from the Fresh Cuts stamp set and embossed it one white card. Then she applied Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy ink using the sponge daubers. And then cut up the image and stuck onto Not Quite Navy card. The rest of the card was quite straight forward. This is a very effective technique that I really like, email me at debairey@xtra.co.nz if you would like to learn this.
I really like her colour combo: Not Quite Navy, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, Basic Grey
Sooo, here is her card:Here is a close-up of the gorgeous embossed script image:
And here is the Mojo Monday sketch:
Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Fresh Cuts
Card/Paper: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, Urban Garden DSP
Ink: Versa Mark, Not Quite Navy, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze
Accessories: Large Oval punch, Scallop Oval punch, Basic Grey taffeta ribbon, Clear embossing powder

Our take on Just Add Ink

The Just Add Ink challenge this week is this fabulous sketch:

Sarah and I made this card together. It uses the Upsy Daisy stamp set. We just knew that this set would fit the sketch beautifully. We added some of the luxurious Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon for some visual texture.
For colouring the daisy's, we used the Not Quite Navy and Old Olive markers. I quite like this effect. And same with the sentiment, we added both colours for a multicoloured look.
The Upsy Daisy set and the Urban Garden designer papers match with each other beautifully.
Here is our card:Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Upsy Daisy
Card/Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, Urban Garden DSP
Accessories: Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon, Clear Rinestone brads, Large Oval punch, Scallop Edge punch, Not Quite Nave & Old Olive markers

We had a lot of fun with this sketch, hope you like it! :)
