Cottage Garden Spinner

I love spinner cards! They are so much fun. Simply tilt the card from side to side to see the flower spin along the slot (from the Word Window punch, punched several times)
I have used the gorgeous Cottage Garden stamp set along with the coordinating papers- Cottage Wall. These are both in the Autumn/Winter catalogue which is going to finish at the end of August.

Card Holder Bag

This is the gift that I made for my hostess at the workshop that I held today. Chiaki Haverstick writes fantastic tutorials on her blog, this uses less than one sheet of double sided designer paper and ribbon for the bag. The left over DSP can be used for cards that fit inside. I made 2 cards to pop in for my hostess, plus envelopes:

I am loving the cracked glass technique! On this card I have used Dreams du Jour, a gorgeous wee stamp set that is perfect for making quick, lovely cards.
This is a very useful template that is fantastic to suit any stamps, colours or occasion!

Cracked Asian Artistry

This is such a fun technique! This is one of the cards that we made at my cracked glass class. If you missed it and would love to learn this fun technique, email me at: debairey@xtra.co.nz to schedule another class.
As you can see, I have distressed the Old Olive panel, just to add an extra touch. To do this, I used the Aqua Painter on the edge to soften the card and then I ran my finger nail up and down each side of the card. This really improves a simple card and gives it an aged look.

Just Add Ink has set us this gorgeous colour challenge to play with this week! Vintage Medallion

I have just purchased the Medallion stamp. What a fantastic value! It's perfect for all occasions and a great stamp to use for males. I helped my friend make 36 invitations for her father's birthday. This only took us a couple of hours!
I really love how this card turned out. As you can see, it's also a fab stamp for feminine cards. I inked up the Medallion stamp using various markers, then sprayed it with a spray bottle of water, and stamped it on Very Vanilla card. I love this effect!Supplies Used:

Our Zorb Experience

Yesterday, Sarah and I came back from our girls weekend away in Rotorua to celebrate her 13th birthday! We had such a fabulous weekend away.
Our highlight of the trip was going on the Zorb. It is when you are in a large inflatable globe, rolling down a hill! There are 2 options-

1) You are strapped inside the globe with a harness, where you will tumble head-over-heels down the hill. Ride this option solo.
2) You are inside the globe with a few buckets of warm water, sloshing and sliding down the hill, inside the globe. You can share this experience with up to 2 friends.

Sarah and I did the wet option together. There was a lot of laughter and squealing on the way down. Thought I'd share a few photo's of our experience:
