Just Add Birthdays!

This week's challenge over at Just Add Ink is to Just Add Birthdays to a papercraft project!
This is a cute pocket card that I made using the Blueberry Crisp designer paper. The very talented, Andrea Walford has made a video on how to make it. View the video HERE.

For the cupcake tag, I inked up the stamp from the Birthday Bakery stamp set (not the words) using the Not Quite Navy marker. I then used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the Best Wishes stamp (from Silhouette Sentiments) and stamped that in Not Quite Navy as well. That then gave me a birthday tag.

And of course, no birthday card can be complete without cupcakes!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Birthday Bakery, Silhouette Sentiments
Card/Paper: Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla, Blueberry Crisp DSP
Ink: Staz-on Black, Not Quite Navy, Pacific Point, Crumb Cake, Early Expresso
Accessories: 1 1/4" Circle punch, Round Tab punch, Very Vanilla 5/8" tafetta ribbon, silver brads, linen thread, Top Note die, Dazzling Diamonds

Check out the other entry's and have a go yourself!

Shimmer Paint Trees

This was another card that we made at my event last Saturday. It is a CASE of a card on Andrea Walford's blog. Andrea is a very talented Stampin' Up! demonstrator in Canada. She has some really great tutorials on using shimmer paint, so I definitely recommend checking out her blog HERE.
This card is reasonably quick, once you've mastered the sponging. And is simply stunning.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Lovely as a Tree, Many Merry Messages
Card/Paper: Whisper White
Ink: Not Quite Navy
Accessories: 5/8" Organza ribbon, Top Note die, Platinum shimmer paint

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Today I held my 10 Christmas Cards + Breast Cancer Awareness Event! I remembered to take photos at the morning class, (sorry, not the afternoon class)

The pink themed morning tea, I think we all gained a dress size after eating this!

And the so scrumptious cupcakes that Sarah made and decorated:

This was my favourite card of the day:

I have used the very versatile Medallion stamp along with the Concord Crush and Pear Pizzazz in- colours.

Well, I hope all my ladies enjoyed themselves (I know I did) and now our Christmas cards are prepared!

Ink: Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Bashful Blue, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Black Staz-on

Thanks so much to Sheryl, Anabel, Sandy, Lyn, Rachel, Olivia, Chris and Sarah for participating in the construction line! These projects would not have been achieved without your help.

These are tealight candles attached to a 6" lolly-pop stick. On the back is the For You Flower stamped and then punched out with the XL Fancy Flower punch. They all have a tag attached to the stick- either another For You Flower or the words from the Sparkly and Bright stamp set:

Navy Trees

Hi there, we've been having great school holidays. Although I am still very busy, with a to-do list as long as my arm! (I'm sure some of you can relate!)
Now onto the card. My daughter Sarah made this using inspiration from a decorated paper bag that I made at team training, taught by the very talented Paula Dobson. We call Paula the Queen of Sponging, and you'll now what I mean when you check out her stunning sponging projects on her blog.

Sarah has used Night of Navy card, ink and ribbon. As well as the platinum shimmer paint (love this stuff!)
I recently purchased the Lovely as a Tree stamp set, and what a gorgeous set of stamps! It's very versatile and is perfect for all sorts of techniques.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Lovely as a Tree, Snow Swirled
Card/Paper: Night of Navy, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Night of Navy
Accessories: 1 3/8" circle punch, Night of navy 1/8" taffeta ribbon, Platinum Shimmer Paint, sponge
