I just want to wish you a happy new year to you and your families. May 2011 be a prosperous and fulfilling year!
I made this little pillow box and matching notecard, using the STUNNING Island Oasis designer paper, for this week's Just Add Ink challenge, which is Just Add Summer. These colours, and designer paper sure do remind me of Summer!
These would make a perfect little gift for your friends and family who you are catching up with over the holidays. Some choccies would fit nicely in the pillow box too!
I thought I'd share my top ten favourite projects and posts for 2010. Just click on the titles, and you will be taken to the posts! Enjoy:
1. Artistic New Year
2. Welcome Christmas Tote

Artistic New Year
I made this Happy New Year card for my sister who lives is London. I sent it off the other day, and just hope it gets there in time!
Don't you just love it when you have an idea in your mind for a card or project, and it works out PERFECTLY!!! That was thankfully the case for this card. It didn't take long, and came together wonderfully. And on top of that, it is one of my favourite cards that I've made so far! The designer paper, depth of the colours, and of course the stamp set really sets it off!
This card features the masking technique, I'm hoping to make a tutorial on this technique for my next newsletter, so you'll see one here in a month or so!
Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Artistic Etchings, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Card/Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Love Letters DSP
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black
Accessories: 1 3/8" Circle punch, Word Window punch, Corner Rounder punch, Basic Black 5/8" satin ribbon, Basic Black 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, Pewter jumbo eyelet, Crop-o-Dile, sponge
Hope my sister likes it!

A New Flower!
This is such a gorgeous flower, made using the Fancy Flower punch!
I came across this idea from Mary Fish. Mary has also made a great video tutorial.
I also put together a photo tutorial. Enjoy!
You will need:
The Fancy Flower punch
The Boho Blossoms punch
The 1/2" Circle punch
A strip of scrap cardstock:
Step 1- Stick the scrap piece of cardstock onto the back of the Fancy Flower, using Dotto, as shown:
Step 2- Slide the Fancy Flower into the Fancy Flower punch. Position it so that the points on the punch are in the middle of each petal, as shown. Then punch:
You will now have this new flower:
Step 3- Stick the Boho Blossom and Circle onto the flower, using dimensionals:
And your done! This gorgeous, new flower is now ready for your cards and projects!
Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Sincere Salutations
Card/Paper: Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, In-colour DSP
Ink: Concord Crush
Accessories: Fancy Flower punch, Boho Blossoms punch, 1/2" Circle punch, Scallop Edge punch, Concord Crush 1/2" stitched-poly ribbon

Aviary and Island Oasis
Can you believe that Christmas is just 2 short days away? I'm so sorry about my lack of posting (well it isn't called the silly season for nothing!)
Here is a break from all the Christmas projects seen around lately. This is my niece's 21st birthday card. Luisa is part Samoan, so I wanted the card to be bright, and some of the designer paper I have used even uses the Samoan patterns!
Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Aviary, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Card/Paper: Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Island Oasis DSP
Ink: Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, Basic Gray
Accessories: 1 3/8" Circle punch, Old Olive 5/8" satin ribbon, Pewter jumbo eyelets, rhinestone, sponge
I have previously made a Christmas version, HERE.

Just Add Ink #48
This stamp is from the Welcome Christmas stamp set, and in 5 days, we will be celebrating the birth of Jesus! The image on this card is a heart-warming reminder of time spent together with families.
Don't you just love the new satin ribbon? Its so luxurious, and gives a lovely finishing touch to your cards. And I'm loving the Jolly Holiday designer papers too.
For the next 2 weeks, this is the sketch that Just Add Ink has given us to play with:
I have flipped the sketch this week, and made this Christmas card:
You can't see it in the photo, but I have added some Champagne shimmer paint onto the tree.
Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Welcome Christmas, Sweet Little Sentiments
Card/Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Jolly Holiday DSP
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Accessories: 1 3/8" Circle punch, Word Window punch, Old Olive 5/8" satin ribbon, Champagne shimmer paint, sponge

Welcome Christmas Cards
I love the Welcome Christmas stamp set! It is a great Christmas set because it includes images and words. So you only need this set and you have Christmas sorted!
These are CASEs from a couple of cards out of a set that Alisa Tilsner designed for the "We Stamp For Lara" fundraiser. Alisa designed a couple more cards and created some wonderful instructions too :-)
The weather here in Auckland has been very hot and sunny. Summer is here!

Summer Mini Catalogue Launch
The Summer Mini catalogue is so excititing! Here is the bookmark that we made at my launch:
I saw these bookmarks on Becky Roberts blog, who has made some really gorgeous cards and projects with the Aviary stamp set.
I always like to give a little gift to my customers at the end of the year. This year was no different, so I made each of them one of these boxes which hold some Cadbury Chocolate Favourites!
The front of the box is inspired by the very talented, Jenny Moors, who made some similar cards.
My ladies were treated to this beautiful Black Forest Gateau, which I ordered form the Cheese Cake Shop:
